Zahvaljujući angažovanju opštinskih vlasti u Guči pre koju godinu je započet projekat sređivanja obale reke Bjelice koja prolazi kroz Guču. Pored sređivanja obale plan je bio i da se podigne nivo vode u reci, koja je u letnjem periodu svega 0,5m, kako bi turistima i meštanima Guče bilo omogućeno kupanje u reci.

Montaža brane je završena pred sam 51. sabor trubača čime su se ispoštovali ugovoreni rokovi.

Nosilac projekta je bilo JVP Srbijavode, izvođač gradjevinskih radova je Inter-KOP koji je u sastavu PORR-a.
Branu je isporučila i montirala SAVA iz Kranja preko svog zastupnika firme Korekt Company iz Beograda.
