The CamMobile® Crawler
At RO-KA-TECH 2011 in Kassel, Germany, the CamMobile® crawler was showcased again – naturally as an enhanced model. And this time as well, the crawler was met with great interest. Compared to the prototype of the previous year, the current model features numerous enhancements: two additional LED segments at the front of the main body, additional weights, a nitrogen filling and fewer corners and edges that collect dirt. The camera module of the swivel arm camera records progressive video images. The outstanding image quality allows for creating a still image from any video frame. The crawler’s LEDs are switched on only when they are absolutely needed: namely while recording the 25 frames per second. Inbetween, they are switched off to save energy. To the viewer, this procedure is a series of fast and rather bright flashes - the so-called strobe effect. At the trade fair Water Berlin International from May 02 through May 05 2011, the enhanced model of the crawler will be presented as well. We will also keep you informed on the crawler during the following months. There will surely be more information in the next edition of our Purple News. So stay tuned!
