Sectional repair of pipelines is carried out when shorter sections of the pipeline or particular couplings between individual pipes are damaged with the intention of re-establishing the tight- ness of the pipeline. This method represents a much cheaper way of repair, because it does not require repairing the entire section from one shaft to another one.

The method of repairing the pipes regarded as the Inliner method is used for repairing the pipe- lines from one shaft to another or from one entry to the exit. This method is based on the in-version of the pre-impregnated liner with resins through the pressure. It represents an upgrade of the sectional method of repairing and thus requires much more extensive investment at the initial level.
